Well one that is descriptive of your program or service! But one thing that is best of all is using your own name - its unique in most cases - describes YOU and is easy to tell someone, if your name is easy to spell! (Dont go looking for TimBrownlaw.com - I've not registered it yet- bad me)!

I'm only going to recommend one Domain Name Registrar for your .com,.net,.ws etc and that's http://www.godaddy.com

They offer the best in pricing and services and ease of managing your domain name(s).

One thing to be aware of though is they do try to do a lot of selling of other services during your registration. Ignore them all - just keep on going through once you've selected your domain name and go to the checkout!

Once you get there - you can type in the name of the domain name you are interested in and see if its available or not. If it is taken - they'll offer a list of variations to choose from! Take your time - think over what it is you want and see if its available!
