To Introduce myself...
An Introduction is in order. Well first of all my name is Tim Brownlaw. Hi, nice to meet you!
I'm happily married to my wonderful wife Sharon(Shazz) and we have two boys , one a teenager and the younger one trying hard to catch up.
As far as pets go, I think we qualify as candidates for Noahs Ark. We have two little lap dogs - Maltese cross Shizhus - TJ and Oska, Two Cats - Chloe and Lousha, Two Kiwi Grass Parrots who now reside in their spacious (well much bigger than a bird cage) aviary out the back - and our resident Quakor Parrot, Lex ( we're not sure if its a girl or a boy so I played it safe on his/her name ). Lex is tame and is quite noisy if not let out of the cage to wreak havoc on us all! The dogs are still getting used to Lex and Lex loves to dive bomb them. That's either daring or crazy - time will tell! Plus, what collection of our fine feathery friends would be complete without a Budgie - called Max - that is being trained by Jake to do - well whatever Jake succeeds in teaching him.
Anyway - I'm a full time Electronics Engineer - well only during weekdays - the rest of the time I'm working online. Which I've now been doing for some 3 years. Yes that's a wee while and the journey so far has been very educational. But education is not worth much if not put into practice! Which is what I am now doing in earnest!
My Reasons for being here- online that is!
Well simply, I have one of those conditions that could make me unsuitable for a "Normal Day Time Job". Heres a mouthfull for you - Ankylosing Spondylitis - So I have to look after my family if the time comes where its too difficult for me to drag myself into work each day smiling! The House payments and the Bills wont vanish!
But there are other reasons such as the freedom I'll have - Later on - by working from home! Someone has to do it - right! and there is nothing stopping anyone from doing this - only yourself!
But to date I have been a victim of the dreaded disease of - "Not Being Focused"!
Well thats only partly true - being an engineer I like to know how everything works and the internet is a treasure chest of things to learn, like HTML,CSS,PHP and MySQL databases! So much of my time has been doing small jobs for others! Which is great - I love helping other people out - I even get paid for it now and then and I love learning. Many of these jobs have been for other marketers - in fact I'll blame them for me sitting here spending hours bashing out scripts and helping install other peoples scripts and all that fun stuff. It's actually been really great and something that has lead me to come into contact with some great people whom I now consider my friends! They know who they are!
I must add that I am personally involved with a charity that my Brother Ross and his partner Julie established when they learnt that their daughter - Montanna had Spinal Muscular Atrophy - Type 1. Its called the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Association of Australia or SMAAA for short.
Montanna passed away June 25th 2005 aged 10 months and 3 weeks, and tragically my brother was killed May 23rd 2006 being hit by a truck as he was turning into his Farms Driveway. Its been a very Sad time for us all but we still continue on as the families need our support and it was Ross' dream to increase the awareness of this disease!
So you can find out more by clicking on the link on the upper right or http://www.smaaustralia.com
It is a very worthy cause and one I am very proud to be a part of!
I had a bet with Ross that I'd be earning more online than he would on his sheep farm - he was beating me at the time too! But atlleast now I'll be able to help Julie, Billie and the "little one on the way" out as much as I can - I owe Ross that much if not more plus, it's what families are all about- excuse the tears!
Also,I'm really hoping to have my network marketing start funelling some money into these charities. We should all take one on board and help out best we can! No-one can ever take what they make with them when their time comes!
No Person is an Island - you dont have to be alone!
I'm now a part of a Group of marketers that teach others in all aspects of marketing. It's great being told - "hey Tim thanks - I learnt alot from you today!" Of course I delve into the mysteries of how you can use PHP to do little things with your websites not possible using straight HTML. PHP is a programming language that lets you dynamically generate HTML Pages. In Fact this whole website is written in PHP. It helps me maintain my site a lot easier.
This site is also using style sheets for layout and the colors etc. If you don't care too much for my color selections, remember (as my wife loves to remind me) I'm just a male!
I have a link up on the Navigation Area that'll lead you to some excellent live training - its called the Internet Income Lab and its run by one of my friends , Lou Roggio, who I met ages ago in an online conference room who was saying he'd upgrade everyone in the room that joined his safelist to Platinum but it might take him awhile - SO I put in my two cents worth on how we could modify his script to make it easy , which we did, and from then on we've been grand friends! But while I've been off doing "my thing" hes been busy making great things happen and I'm very proud to be apart of what hes come up with now!
So if you join my newsletter (hint hint) I'll give you a link where you can join Free for a Month to see what its all about! Thats only fair! Then once I get my schedule submitted ( yes Lou its coming ) you'll get to hear my dulcit tones coming through your speakers as we go through some PHP Tips and Tricks. Thats only one of the many subjects that gets covered!
If you find anything on this site that is not working properly, broken or just plain wrong - you are most welcome to contact me
