Protecting your email addresses.
Prevent your email addresses on your websites from ending up on Spammers Mailing List
Your Email addresses on your website may appear like the following examples...
Case 1:
<a href="mailto:myname@mydomain.com">myname@mydomain.com</a>
OR
Case 2:
<a href="mailto:myname@mydomain.com">Contact Me</a>
(You would replace myname@mydomain.com with your own email address)
Case 3:
mailto:myname@mydomain.com
(You would replace mailto:myname@mydomain.com with your own email address)
Now in the Text Box Below - Just enter in your email address in the form myname@mydomain.com and I'll generate the code for both forms as in the cases above.
What to do from here...
To Copy and Paste this into your HTML editor:
1. Click your mouse in the text box above.
2. Press "CTRL" A to Select ALL
(This is Important as NOT all the characters may be viewable
- it could be a long string of characters)
3. Press "CTRL" C to Copy
4. Go to your HTML Editor and Paste the code by pressing "CTRL" V
Please DO NOT use an encoded email address in any FORMS that ask you for your email address. This will not work. You'll probably be told that your email address is incorrect.
When you submit your email address on a website, either use an email address you don't care about or assume that the operator of that site is as prudent as yourself and won't go selling your email address to someone else.
If need be, as previously suggested - create a throw away email address to use initially, then later, once you know you'll be wanting to stay in touch with the owner of the website, change your email address to a real one you can be contacted on for ever.
If you find anything on this site that is not working properly, broken or just plain wrong - you are most welcome to contact me
